NCHRF is Hiring

The National Campaign for Harm Reduction Funding is a growing coalition of non-profit organizations, service providers, members of the faith-based community and activists that have come together to form a national voice advocating for federal funding for low-threshold Harm Reduction services across the United States. NCHRF is an initiative of the newly-formed International Drug Law Advocacy and Resource Center (IDLARC), a US-based organization committed to ushering a shift towards public health and human-rights-based drug policies at the national and international levels.

The National Campaign for Harm Reduction Funding (NCHRF) seeks a part-time Project Manager to grow NCHRF's national coalition of harm reductionists and provide administrative, writing, and coordination support for the coalition's advocacy efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with campaign coordinator to manage NCHRF's growing coalition of harm reduction member organizations and advocacy campaigns

  • Provide administrative support including meeting coordination, note taking, report writing, and data entry

  • Manage new member applications and maintain membership list

  • Leverage various online platforms, including the NCHRF website and social media channels, to increase community engagement and network building

  • Create written materials including press releases, position statements, funding proposals, concept notes, website content, and stakeholder communications

  • Participate in fundraising activities such as digital campaigns, grant writing, and donor outreach 

  • Act as an organizational representative to coalition members, partners, funders and the broader Harm Reduction community

  • Assist with the design and implementation of branded infographics, blogs, and social media content

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge about and commitment to harm reduction, restorative justice, and progressive drug policies

  • Social media experience

  • Ability to work independently and be self-accountable

  • Past advocacy experience, especially surrounding digital organizing

  • Administrative experience

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Familiarity with such programs as Google Workspace, Dropbox, Squarespace, Zoom, and/or Canva

This position is fully remote. Pay will range from $25 - $32, depending on qualifications. Hours are flexible, but should be around 10-15 per week.
